Dear members,

you've waited for a long time but now we're finally letting the cat out of the bag: With this journal entry, we're announcing for the first time in history of this group it's first drawing contest running under the name "Draw for Glory" which will from now on be used for future drawing contests! Each contest will give you a different task you must perform in order to have the chance to win an awesome prize!

But why should you participate? Well, here are some reasons it's worth joining the competition:

1.  As mentioned before, you have the chance of winning one of several awesome prizes in the form of Shiny Pokémon or even a Ditto with a perfect IV spread for breeding your own competitive Pokémon and also having a higher chance to get a Shiny by breeding with it in comparison with the standard chance getting one (which is 1/4096) if you're not from a german-speaking country because it's a german Ditto first of all (also the Shinies are!) and because of the Masuda Method which will increase your odds getting a Shiny Pokémon (which also has the highest odds being also usable competitive aside of being lame and cheating it) up to a 3/2048 (~ 0,15 %) chance without and even to a whopping 1/512 (~ 0,2 %) chance with a Shiny Charm, so your hard work will be definitely paid off! For those who're still not knowing what IVs [Individual Values or also called Determinant Values, short DVs] are: IVs are like the "genes" of a Pokémon which determine how high a statistic (short: stat) of a Pokémon will be. They can range from 0 to 31 since Generation 3 [in Generation 1 & 2 they ranged from 0 to 15, but gave additional 2 points per IV instead of 1, increasing a stat up to 30 additional points possible] and therefore add 0 to 31 additional points into a certain stat. For example a Pokémon can have additional 31 points into Attack, therefore it has an Attack IV of 31. They also determine the type of the attack Hidden Power of a Pokémon.)
2. You can promote yourself with your participation and get a larger audience!
3. Last but not least: For having fun!

These are the prizes you have the chance to win ONE of them in this contest:

1st prize:  1 Ditto with a 6x 31 IV spread (31 HP/31 Attack/31 Defense/31 Special Attack/31 Special Defense/31 Speed) and a Timid nature (-10 % Attack /+10 % Speed)
2nd prize: 1 Shiny Steelix
3rd prize:  1 Shiny Absol

IMPORTANT UPDATE: All prizes are now infected with the rare Pokérus which has a chance of 3/65536 to occur (~0,005 %)!

So what do I have to do and to take into account?

Plain and simple, here are the rules:

1. As your task for this contest, you have to draw your favorite Pokémon of the Hoenn Region! You also have to take into account the following points for your artwork if you want to participate successfully:

1.1 Only Pokémon from National Dex Number 252 to 386 are allowed so no other Pokémon from the Hoenn Dex like Heracross are allowed!
1.2 Your work has to be drawn in professional quality (which means with a detailed background, coloring and shading) so no sketches, doodles or similar things will be accepted for participation!
1.3 You may draw a horde/multiple specimen of your favorite Pokémon (for example a horde of Poochyena is fine) but you can't draw 2 different Pokémon or even Trainers or other non-related stuff! Please also note that quality will of course be rated higher than quantity!
1.4 Please note: Mega Evolutions of a Pokémon and Primal Formes and other special Formes of a Pokémon are prohibited to draw!
1.5 You may draw your Pokémon in its Shiny Forme!
1.6 Last but not least: You have to be a member of this group to join this contest! No exceptions!

2. Your artwork has to be a brand new one which is drawn exclusively for this contest and has to be marked as such , for example by writing in the title "[Draw for Glory]" so old deviations from you are strongly forbidden! It has also to respect our general rules for deviations for this group of course, so please also take this into account!
3. There will be 2 categories in which the winners will be determined so there will be in total SIX people who will win a prize: Digital Artworks and Traditional Artworks! You can only compete for ONE category, so choose wisely! You can't change your category you're competing in afterwards!
4. You have to send in your artwork until March 1st, 2015 00:00 h CET (Central European Time)! No exceptions! Submissions which are coming in AFTER the deadline will NOT be considered for the drawing of the prizes, so be on time!
5. You have to own at least one copy out of the following Versions to participate: X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire! If you don't own one of the Versions listed, you're excluded from the participation to this contest.
6. Your artwork has to be posted in a separate folder we're providing in the group named x!
7. We, the staff (which is consisting of :iconsygor: , :iconhime--nyan: and :iconkiweyko:) decide which submissions are meeting the requirements! We have the final say in this matter!
8. The staff mentioned earlier in 7. is also the jury which selects the winner and the 2nd and 3rd place. Each member of the jury can rate an artwork on a scale from 1 to 10 points (with 0,5-intermediate steps). The mid-term evaluations of each member of the jury will be anonymized so you can't conclude which member of the jury has given which number of points to a certain artwork. For a better understanding, a final result can look like this: Sylveongirl13: 20,5 [6,5/8/7]. The owner of the artwork with the highest total score (which can be 3 at least and 30 at most) will obviously win this contest in his chosen category. The owner of the artwork with the second highest total score gets the 2nd prize and so on.
9. THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE: After we have published the results, you have 72 hours left after the posting of the results to answer to our winner notification and to be able to pick up your prize. If you don't answer us within the time period, your right to pick up your prize expires automatically and it will be given to the next best participant. If we have been able to successfully contact you, we're arranging an appointment for trading so you can get your prize!

10. You may be also disqualified from the contest if:

10.1 You're stealing an artwork from another user and you're masquerading it as your own
10.2 You're trying to bribe the jury for a better rating/winning a prize
10.3 You're trying to get some tips from the jury to improve your rating/chance of winning a prize
10.4 We reserve the right to disqualify a competitor if we are of the opinion that a disqualification is justified!

So these are the rules of our first "Draw for Glory"-Contest! If you have any important questions left concerning the procedure of the contest, its ruleset, the participation in general or if you even have found a loophole in the ruleset which should be immediately closed, then please tell us in the comment section below this journal entry!

We wish every participant good luck and lots of fun! :)

Greetings,

the PKMN-Omega-R-Alpha-S ( :iconhime--nyan::iconkiweyko::iconsygor: ) Team!
